2023 Award for Junior Surf Program
Our Junior Surf program runs is for ages 3-13 years of age with Sunday Sessions running Labour Weekend - Easter Weekend.
Sunday sessions are held on Sunday mornings with addition training mid week for those attending Competitive Lifesaving events. We also compete in Surf Life Saving pool champs from July to October.
Junior Surf is designed to promote surf skills, fitness, surf sense, water safety and fun in a safe and friendly environment for future competitive lifesaving athletes & lifeguards.
Once reaching 14 years of age members can qualify as a lifeguard. Development includes first aid qualifications, IRB crew & driver & lifeguard personnel development.
Seniors (over 14 yrs) also have a strong Competitive Lifesaving Team with numerous events throughout the year including pool events.
Orewa Surf Life Saving Club volunteers patrols Orewa Beach from October to April & Wenderholm over the busy Christmas period.
