Mandatory Uniform
We take pride in our Ōrewa Uniform and we have some safety mandatories for all children.  All mandatory pieces of uniform (High Visibility Vest or Long Sleeve Rashie, Skull Caps and Silicone Caps) are available for purchase via the Ōrewa website online shop.

Optional Club Merch
-Optional Club Merch will be available for pre-order at certain times of the year.
-Orewa Surf Life Saving Club uniform colour is Royal Blue.

Swimwear

You can purchase any brand of togs/briefs or jammers but they must be Royal Blue, but we recommend the Jolyn swimwear range as they are good quality, have a great range of styles, Orewa printing is available and customer service is great.

During any Club Training

-Children must wear the club skull cap and a high visibility vest or rash shirt.

-If these items are forgotten, land-based activities only will be allowed. 

-A wetsuit can also be a great addition to keep children warm and happy throughout, especially at the start and end of the season when the water is much cooler.
 

When attending Surf Competitions

-Children must wear the club skull cap and a high visibility vest or rash shirt.

-Children must also wear royal blue togs.

-Ōrewa SLSC silicon swim caps are optional during summer and can be worn under the club skull cap (not in place of)

When attending Pool Competitions

-Only the Ōrewa SLSC silicon swim caps are mandatory

Mandatory Uniform Items

Boys & Girls: U5-U7s

- Ōrewa high visibility vest or Surf Life Saving high visibility long sleeved rash shirt
- Ōrewa skull cap

Boys & Girls: U8s-U14s

-Ōrewa high visibility vest
-Ōrewa skull cap

 Boys & Girls: U8s-U14s when competing

-Boys: royal blue speedo togs or plain royal blue jammers. No large oversized logos or other decorative patterns.
(brand is your choice)
-Girls:  royal blue one piece swimsuit or bikini (brand is your choice)

Junior Surf members : 3 - 6 years old only

-3 - 6 year old members can opt to wear the long sleeved hi visibility rash shirt, that is available through the club
shop, instead of the Ōrewa hi vis vest. These are available for children in the Under 5 and Under 7 age groups
only.

The Orewa High Vis Vest, High Vis Long Sleeved Rash Shirt, Skull Cap and Silicon Cap can be purchased from the Orewa Surf Club website online shop.

Club Equipment

Our club gear is made available to the children during our training sessions.  Children using club equipment are responsible for the care of the equipment, washing it down and putting it away at the end of training.   The coaches will show the children how to do this at the start of the season.  Replacing our equipment can become costly, so we encourage all our children to treat the club gear with respect. If there are any damages, please report these to your Age group Coach or Manager when it happens so that we can get it repaired.
